A Great Year
I would like to thank all the members of the Colyak Bowhunters for a very good year. We started our season with our Between the seasons 3-D Shoot, Then we moved on to the Sportsman Show and the Sagebrush 3-D shoot and finaly our Traditional 3-D shoot. We\'re very lucky to have all our Sponsors come forward in support of our Rinehart Targets. Also all the club members that put in the time to talk to our sponsors and get there support. There are just too many good things that happend this year to mention at this time.
But with out the support of our dedicated members we couldn\'t have had such a successful year. We\'ll do it again next year with your support.
Thank You
Jerry Hill

A message from one of the founders
Hello Colyak Bowhunters--

I am one of the founders of the Colyak Bowhunters. Roy Burch, Ralph Park and I formed the club in July 1951. There was another archery club in Richland at the time but their primary interest was in indoor target shooting. Roy, Ralph and I decided to start a second club with emphasis on hunting and field shooting without competition. We spent a lot of time just plunking around in the sagebrush and playing archery golf, as well as hunting.

I moved to Seattle in 1955 and dropped out of archery but still have good memories of all the fun times with archery in the tri-cities. I now live on Whidbey Island and am 79 years old, but still very active in the outdoors.

I'm happy to see that the club is still active after all these years.

CONGRATULATIONS TO AMANDA PURVIS!!
We just got word that Amanda has been accepted as a Resident Athlete at the Olympic Training Center for the next year. She will be moving down there in the next week or two to live full time.

We want to wish you luck and enjoy this wonderful opportunity! You've worked hard to get there.

RAY WILSON
It is with deep sadness we share the news that Ray Wilson a friend to all archers and bowhunters passed away May 2,2008.
Ray was a innovative and creative man whose love for Family,Friends,Archery, and photography will be sorely missed.
Ray was a unique individual who lived life on his terms, always maintained a positive attitude, and a smile on his face, and a friendly greeting for all. Knowing Ray was just a moment in life that will remain frozen in time for many of us.
Ray's many contributions to the archery community will always be rememberd. Words alone cannot do justice to the impact that Ray Wilson has had on so many lives and the archery community.
Happy hunting and god bless you old friend.
